The Usul of the Talafi

Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah follow the Messenger Muhammad (saw) and the Sahabah (raa); who are the ‘Islamic Standard'. Nowadays we hear people claiming that they are the standard and criteria to follow, and accuse the Muslim Ummah to be fasiq and people of bidah, using terminology which is ‘ajeeb' (amazing) ‘gharaib' (strange). This problem can only be resolved by referring back to the Islamic standard.

The Talafi's are known by 60 points which are called the Usul al-Sittun (60 Points foundation) [Please note, here we will mention 25]

The Foundations of the Salafi Talafi

1. Mother of all their Usul is a combination of the following.

• They are Khawarij with the daiies (ones not from them and working to establish Allah (swt) deen) - they will call him kafir.

• They are Murjiah when it comes to apostate tawagheet rulers.

• They are Rafidah when it comes to the Islamic movements (the Shia Rafidah).

• When it comes to Jews and the Christians they are Qadariyyah - say that we can't call them Muslim or kafir they are between (manzila baina mazilain - between the between).

Daiees - They monitor the daiees, and make takfir if they make mistakes and error, like the Khawarij they believe iman increases and cannot decrease is only negated, i.e. if any sin is done they call the perpetrator a kafir.

Rulers - They believe what ever action the ruler does, does not affect his iman. They don't want to accused of having kafir leaders over them hence why they won't declare takfir.

Islamic Movements - The Rafidah insult the Sahabah (ra), they declare all to be kafir except three, just like that the Talafi insult the Islamic movements and collect what they think are their mistakes, then publish its refutation, and they say no jihad with out the imam i.e. the Khalifah.

2. They believe any Muslim who commits kufr is a kafir, and the ones who commits bidah (innovation) is a mubtadah (innovators), but they lay down their own conditions for what is kufr and bidah; and judge and measure people according to it. They will make generalisation when it comes to apply takfir or calling some one mubtadah.

3. Anyone who does not commit bidah, but did not join them is still a mubtadi (innovator). Ibn Bazz said "whoever doubts that the habashi scholars are kafir, he himself is a kafir" they will use the excuse of ignorance here even though they could.

4. They like to pick the mistakes and errors of the Muslims. They say because Allah (swt) listed the errors of the anbiyah; like Adam, Yunus, etc. Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah don't believe the anbiyah make mistakes, their mistakes is khilafa awlua - different approach used which was corrected by Allah (swt).

The anbiyah were not people of bidah, so no analogy can be made in comparison with them. Allah (swt) makes the ‘afu' (forgiveness) to them before the ‘itab' (re-consider, i.e. this way is better). Allah (swt) wants the best even from the anbiyah even on the mubah (permissible) issues. Allah (swt) forgave them even before the action, in other words it was not a sin.

It should be noted that is Muhammad Amanullahul Jami - founder of their school amongst their so called scholers are many but one of the infamous ones most known is Rabi al Madkhali.

If you ask the Talafi who was the sheikh of bin Bazz? They will become unstuck, the fact is it was Muhammad ibn Ibrahim but that will be lost with them. The Talafi have no adhab (etiquettes).

5. They say anybody who makes mistakes in Usul Ud-Deen is a kafir. So they have Usul (foundations) and Furur (Branches). They consider a man whether ‘alim' (scholar) or ‘jahil' (ignoramus), is no going to be forgiven if they make mistakes in usul ud-deen. They do not want anyone to bring out the principle of Tawheed Haakimiyyah, they will call him kafir. Because he made mistake in usul ud-deen. They did this with Syed Qutb, who promoted the principle of Tawheed Haakimiyyah. This way they take out most of the Ulema of the Ummah from the deen.

6. They use the term zindeeq (heretic), with their own conditions, declaring it openly on the Muslims with out to meet or question them or verify information. Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah use it on the true zindeeqs like the Qadiani's; who said there was another prophet after the Messenger Muhammad (saw).

7. If something is mutlaq (unrestricted) they say it cannot be restricted except by the word of Allah (swt) or elaborated except by Allah (swt). They apply this upon the Muslims. E.g. Muslims sometime make dua in jama'ah with the imam after salah, they say this is bidah. They will take abstract terms to the extreme and give it the wrong meaning.

8. Believe you cannot establish hujjah (evidence/ruling) on someone who declares kufr or shirk except those who are outside of Muslim countries. They do not verify if someone does a kufr action.

9. Islamic group or collective work is the mother of all fitnah. They want to dismantle any group working collectively. Though in the time of the Messenger (saw) and the Sahabah (ra) there were groups that existed, i.e. the Muhajiroun, the Ansar, etc. And even if they believe in groups they will say the Amir (Ruler) does not allow groups, we must obey.

Yet Allah (swt) says "Co-operate on the good deed and not on the bad deed" [EMQ Surah al Maidah 5:2]

10. Working collectively and working in a group are the same. They say it is partisanship (which Islam forbids) and apply it on any collective work.

11. Collecting the errors and mistake of those other than themselves and close their eyes to any of their good deeds; when we look to scholars like Fawzan, we still look at their works or good deeds. They put good scholars in books condemning people who were killed or exposed as murtad.

12. They say if one member of the group commits an un-Islamic act they condemn all those in the group

13. They say Islamic groups are a continuation of all the deviant sects from Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah; i.e. Mutazilah, Ashari, Qadariyyah, etc. Whilst giving themselves names such as JIMAS etc and then say they are an organisations whist others are groups.

14. All the dawaat groups are apostate and work for the destruction of tawheed. Jami said they (Islamic groups) are more dangerous than the Jews and the Christians, and we should fight them first before the Jews and the Christians. Madkahli says the groups are all murtad. This is one of their most dangerous asl.

15. To speak about politics and the affair of the Muslim Ummah is haram in their eyes. They say most of the groups like Qutabi's and Tahrir. Madkhali said to make changes and analysis other than by the government. He said the Messenger (saw) became angry when Umar looked to one page of the torah. Yet they forget the Messenger (saw) said bring me the torah and the bibl to report it. The Messenger (saw) was angry because Umar did not refute it rather he admired it.

16. They say the fiqhul waqi (reality) is only for the rulers. In other words the Muslim of the Ummah should leave it to the rulers. They say it divides the Muslim youth, and misleads the masses, like the magicians of Fir'oun (Pharaoh). They say if you study the reality to find a solution, you are delving into something that does not concern you, leave it for the rulers.

17. They say the fiqh of reality is a waste of time and bears no fruit, stick to salah and sawm.

18. Whoever studies the reality are as bad as the kuffar philosophers

19. let us leave the fiqh of reality until we understand it Abdur Rahman bin Abdul Aziz (mufti of Saudi Arabia)

20. There is no qital (jihad) without Khalifah, whether offensive or defence. I.e. they negate the saying of the Messenger (saw) who said "jihad will never stop whether the ruler is just or unjust" here the Messenger (saw) was speaking about offence jihad, let alone defensive jihad. Rabi al Madkhali said "jihad not allowed to open its gate, except one iman, khalifatul muslimeen" even King Abdul Aziz, and King Faisal said they are not Khalifah to declare jihad. Yet when it comes to collecting zakah they are the Khalifah, plus they do not take jiziyah from the kuffar in the Arabian Peninsula. They say to fight now is suicide, but they make excuse for Palestine, because they harbour nationalism. The Messenger (saw) said "leave nationalism, as it stinks"

21. Jihad is takleef cannot do in this day, no sin if you lose it. In other words can't fulfil it so don't bother, no sin to leave it. Saleh al Fawzan said the best jihad is to leave the jihad, and the best preparation is to leave the preparation.

22. Obligatory to avoid/boycott any political activity actions, they forbid even to sit in shura council. They made it illegal to form group in Saudi Arabia.

23. Political action should only be taken by the rulers. Not the Alim or the daiee.

24. The style of dawah is tawqifi (fixed) i.e. not a mubah issue. In order to forbid what they don't like, like the dawah on the satellite, or in the internet. Yet the Talafi's have many sites, but they are outdone by the jihadi sites. The Messenger (saw) said my Ummah will be blessed by the jihad. They say audio and video tapes not allowed. They started to ban it. Bin Bazz said photographs not allowed. When they put photos of the hizbi's in the paper Uthaymeen came out and said it is allowed. In the end their aim was to have ID cards for women. They allow internet to counter the groups as the lesser of the evil.

Amongst them are many , but we will mention a few main personalities who are frequently promoted by the liked of the Talafi Movement.

Saudi Arabia

Muhammad Amanullahul Jami (deceased)
Originally from Ethiopia; he came to Madinah, stayed in Masjidul Nawabi, and was known as the man of the reports he sent to the authority if anyone disagreed with him. Until people know him as the head of the intelligence. He believed the king was ‘Amirul Mu'mineen' Commander of the Faithful.

Nobody came to his janazah; he could not even say the kalimah on his deathbed.

Ibn Abbas said "Don't look to a man now, look to him at the moment before he dies, and then see who attends his janazah"

Rabi bin Haadi al Madkhali (deceased)
He is teacher -who has made a professional job out of attacking the daiees, he attacked one of the ‘Hiyyal Kibaru Ulema' (Group of Higher Scholars) Abu Bakr Zayd because he refuse to endorse his books. Abu Bakr Zayd said "you misquote and misrepresents, don't publish your books". Abu Bakr Zayd said to Rabi al Madkhali "How can you say Sayed Qutb believed that man can legislate, especially when he believes in Haakimiyyah."
He called Sayed Qutb to be a taaghout.

Faaleh bin Nafil bil Harbi (also known as Sheikhul Mabahis fis Saudia (intelligence))

Muhammad bin Haadi al Madkhali (brother of Rabi) - known as the tail of al saud. He is always with them in their palaces, goes to the Islamic colleges in Madinah, he said it is ok to kill those who are fighting the US, UK and coalition, because of isthbah of the deen, because he considers them as killing the dhimmi.

He issued a fatwah saying the blood of all those he calls Khawarij is halal but not the US forces currently occupying Muslim land. He praised Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz "O Prince Naif, sir go forward, you are the son of tawheed, the one who defeated all taaghout and Shaytan, the one who raised the banner of Islam over the enemy, all the kings al Saud is the only one who can rise, it is obliged to obey them by the Qur'an, the one who does not is sinful of disobeying the bayah to the leader, by Allah (swt) you should look to the books that have been published, they have the manhaj of taqfir (i.e. Sayed Qutb) their books are some time expensive some times cheap, burn them all before the youth get hold of them"

Imran bin hattan - his brother killed ali bin abi talib ra. Made poetry that that his brother was the best of the best and he killed the worst of the worst. (that's the Khawarij)

Kuwait

Al Soubah are the ruling family in Kuwait, they are known for condemning the Mujahideen.

Dr Abdullah al Farsi
He was removed from jami ihya al turas (group of scholars). He is very pro al Soubah and a hardcore supporter of the government of Kuwait. He is known the head of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah there, yet all he is, is a Mister Yes Sir man,

On his tape called ‘Al Fursan al Thulatha - The Three Riders' during his talk he described Abdur Rahim al Taham (who is Ahlul hadeeth and a follower of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah) he called Sheikh Al Taham a taaghout and one who follows shirk and puts himself in kufr. He says "why is Jabir (the Amir of Kuwait) kafir?"( even though he brought the US forces there). And he has encyclopaedia of Islam! He attacked Abdur Rahim al Taham because he declared the leaders kafir.

The Messenger (saw) said "they will fight against the Muslims and leave/excuse the kafir" talking about the Khawarij.

Dr Falaah Ismali Mindikar (he adds - ghair hisbi)
He graduated from an ikhwani background. He makes takfir on any body who is Amir of Islamic group. He says anybody who joins a group is an apostate. When asked why did King Fahd wear a cross. He said who said "are a kafir if you wear a cross?" i.e. do the kufr (i.e. he was not applying takfir ayn here) he said Allah (swt) said it is kufr duna kufr. Did he wear the cross as worship or as a customary gift. His sheikh was amanullahl jami

Yet this man had no time to defend Sheikh Osama bin Laden - He said "who is Osama" he said "Osama is a killer, murderer"

Harun ar Rashid (ra) returned a horse given as gift just because it had a saddle with a small cross on it.

They are the ikhwani's of Kuwait, known as Salafi's

They are famous for publishing books against the Ulema.

Abdullah ibn Omar (ra) said "The most evil people are those who use they ayahs revealed about the kafir on the Muslims" [Bukhari] Hadeeth found in the chapter: killing the Khawarij (Fath al Bari)

Emirates

Abdullah al Subut (senior member ahya al turass al Salafi)
He currently involved in the scandal of embezzling ½ billion dollars. He calls any one who believes in Haakimiyyah a kafir.

Jordan

Ali al Halabi
His books are corrupted. He said in a famous fatwah "Mujahideen are harbis, daiess are mufsid, they should be reported to the authorities" he said "people are obliged otherwise they are sinful" he gave this fatwah 8 yrs ago. He was asked about this fatwah 4 yrs later and then he called anyone who said he said this as a liar, he made qasam (oath) by Allah (swt), then when he was shown the video, he said "yes I said it" and started to defend his statement.

Saleem al Hilali
He wrote books attacking Groups such as Al Muhajiroun and Hizbut Tahrir, yet he is far from the Islamic standard. Man with a big mouth.
He said "the head of all evil today is Osama bin Laden"
His books are all the books of Ibn Taymiyyah, and then he puts his name on it. 80-90% of his books are by Ibn Taymiyyah.
Books -

Sheikh Ahmed from Kuwait (from Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah) published a book exposing showing books of hilali. He called it the stealing of hilali - proved they are from certain scholars.

Bin Bazz attacked Halabi and Hilali as those who are on the dalal (astray).

Mashour Hasan

Saad al Hussain
He is the consultant to the Saudi embassy in Jordan. He funds Hilali and Halabi. His teacher is Amanullahul Jami.

Morocco

Muhammad ibn Abdur Rahman al Magharawi
This man goes door to door and reports the Muslims to the intelligence of Morocco. He says to do this is to come closer to Allah (swt).

Algeria

Abdul Malik bin Ahmed (Sheikh Ramadani)
Wrote a book called the deep point in politics in which he says the best of siyasah is to not be involved in siyasah.
